J/109 NEWS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
Team Windmill - going for the hoist.© North SailsNorth customers took the top five places at the 15-boat
Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta in Ireland at the beginning of July. Racing was close with four different race winners over the six races completed. North customers using full inventories took the top five places overall. Most were using our proven 3DL 600 Aramid upwind sails but there was a smattering of 860 Carbon/Kevlar, too. The sixth boat overall damaged their North composite A2 kite so a small repair was made on it before the regatta started and they used it to great effect during the week. Downwind, the spinnakers used ranged from North's 0.6oz / 0.75oz composite A2 to the more durable Norlon 150 A4 for heavy running. Many used the A3 too on the coastal and round the cans racing. The North Sails team in Ireleand thanks all their J/109 customers and congratulate on a great event!
Good Luck and Good Sailing!
